About Me

First and foremost, thank you for being here.  In our fast paced world, there are countless ways you could be spending your time.  I appreciate you being *here*.

Plants Near Me is not run by a botanist. Or a team. I don't have any heart-warming stories about all the special little things someone influential showed me during my youth that grew my love for plants. I haven't managed to keep a plant alive for more than 5 years. I have a history with plants that goes back to my childhood, but I didn't manage to keep plants alive until 2019.

So, what is this? These are all the random bits and pieces of plant experience I have had over the last 3 and a half years. I don't know it all.  I'm bad with large words, like the scientific names of plants. I can't remember ratios in fertilizer and soil. I am a simple woman. Who fell in love with plants. I am dysregulated, outspoken, and tend to get lost in my own thoughts far too often.  That is how I truly "met" plants. I was seeking peace. I didn't know what to do with my hands. Plants have become a passion for me. Mostly house plants. These are our stories together.
